Two people have been charged following a Virginia Tech Police Department investigation of tire slashing on campus.
Bobby Wayne Reed, 20, and Hunter Stables, 18, were arrested after university police used video surveillance footage to get the license plate of a car suspected to be involved in the tire slashing, according to Roanoke.com.
The suspects were charged with 14 counts of destruction of property, which is a Class 1 misdemeanor that carries up to a year in jail and a fine up to $2,500 per charge.
“This is yet another fine example of the use of the university’s security camera system,” university Chief of Police Kevin Foust said in a press release.
