MANCHESTER, N.H. — Manchester Police have launched an investigation into whether a high school resource officer used excessive force, after the video of his arrest of a West High student on Monday went viral.
In the video clip, officer Darren Murphy lifts 17-year-old Frank W. Harrington III from his seat, spins him around, forces him into a prone position and arrests him, My Fox Boston reports.
Video footage of the arrest was first posted by CopBlock.org, a Web site that bills itself as a reporter of “police abuse, brutality, and corruption.”
