Video: Grey’s Anatomy’s Influence on Hospital Security

CS recently spoke with IAHSS President Bryan Warren on how a fictional active shooter incident depicted in the 2010 season finale of Grey’s Anatomy has prompted regulatory agencies like OSHA, the Joint Commission, CMS and state organizations to focus on workplace violence in hospitals. The same holds true for incidents that happen in the real world.

He warns healthcare organizations that if one regulator determines your institution is not providing a safe work environment, that determination will draw the attention of other regulators.
