The November 2005 Virginia Tech shooting records are expected to be opened to the public later this month under the state’s legal settlement with families and victims. The records will show the level of problems shooter Seung-Hui Cho had and to what extend those problems were known to campus officials.
The shooting that left 32 students and teachers dead was the third of 10 episodes of threatening behavior that Tech officials and police noted in their records, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. However, those threats were not taken seriously and no follow up occurred outside of suggested counseling.
