MADISON, Wis. — A Wisconsin state law that takes effect Nov. 1 will give gun permit holders who attend training the right to carry concealed weapons in public places, such as college campuses.
Signs that read “Firearms Prohibited in Building” are expected to adorn the entrances of University of Wisconsin campus buildings, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. Guns are not allowed in stadiums, classrooms or any another campus buildings.
Guns will be allowed in open spaces such as campus quads or parking lots, and in cars. Tailgaters at sports games will be able to carry firearms while they tailgate, but not in the stadium.
