Two Students Shot Near Chicago High School

CHICAGO, Ill. — Two students from South Shore High School were shot near campus on Feb. 15. The teens were waiting at a bus stop when a man opened fire and then fled.

The victims, ages 17 and 18, sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries, the Chicago Tribune reports. One teen was shot in the leg, the other in the buttocks. One of the victims flagged down a bus after the incident, and the Fire Department was called. Both victims were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

It is unclear whether or not the two students were targeted. No suspects have been taken into custody.
