TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Public Schools has selected a new chief of the Campus Police Department.
James Hill will replace Chief Gary Rudick, who retired from the department in January, if the Board of Education approves him, Fox 23 reports.
Hill has much experience in law enforcement, as he served as chief of police for the Salina (Kansas) Police Department for 22 years.
“TPS is very fortunate to find such a qualified candidate as Mr. Hill that has 22 years of experience in the top position of a police department combined with the passion to support students, parents, teachers and the community in an urban setting,” said Ben Stout, TPS chief information and operations officer.
The board will vote on Hill’s selection on June 2. If approved, Hill will begin work on June 3.
