SAN JOSE, Calif. — The San Jose Unified School District plans to increase security measures after burglars stole hundreds of thousands worth of computers from five elementary schools.
The thefts occurred between Oct. 28 and Nov. 22, with burglars swiping 65 computers and 31 iPads. The district lost a total of $115,200, Mercury News reports.
The district is currently evaluating security; however, a SJUSD spokesperson declined to state what security measures the district has taken noting that the rash of thefts could be sparked by media coverage.
