Chicago will host this year's IAHSS annual conference & exhibition.

The International Association for Healthcare Safety and Security (IAHSS) announces that its 50th Annual Conference and Exhibition will take place in Chicago, April 15-18 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago. During the event, hundreds of attendees from around the world will participate in educational sessions, networking events and vendor showcases designed specifically for the healthcare protection profession.

Best-selling author Dr. Britt Berrett will present his keynote on how leadership strategies affect outcomes. Another keynote at the event will be Dr. Keiron McConnell of the Vancouver Police Organized Crime Section who will present on gangs and the threats they pose to healthcare security. Craig Valentine’s keynote will be “The 4 Rs to Remarkable Results through Leadership, Communications and Change,” while The Second City Works will show attendees how they can apply improve comedy skills to build a successful organization.

Topics covered during the educational breakout sessions include using data to minimize security risks, national preparedness goals, mitigating risk with robots, CPTED in healthcare, systems integration, insider threats, body-worn cameras, de-escalation and restraint training, and more. Additionally, attendees will enjoy the welcome reception, IAHSS 50th Anniversary Celebration Reception and IAHSS Foundation Recognition Reception and Banquet.
