Texas District to Spend $1M on Security Upgrades

AUSTIN, Texas — The Eanes Independent School District board members voted to spend $1.1 million to provide security enhancements at Eanes Elementary School.

The board approved spending $881,458 of unused bond funds from 2006 and $196,451 from the general fund to pay for the security upgrades, Statesman.com reports. The enhancements will include perimeter fencing and a new single entrance near the office.
