A man suspected of overdosing on synthetic marijuana allegedly assaulted two Pennsylvania hospital security officers and an employee on Tuesday.
Joshua Hernandez, 30, has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment for his actions inside of St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown.

Police say Hernandez went to the hospital’s emergency room Tuesday night for a possible overdose of synthetic marijuana. As he was being escorted from the waiting room, police say he went “berserk.”
Hernandez allegedly kicked an emergency room technician in the ribs and punched him in the head, head butted and kicked a hospital security officer and punched another officer before being subdued, according to Lehigh Valley Live.
Officers eventually restrained Hernandez on a hospital bed. He was sent to Lehigh County Jail with bail set at $25,000.
City police later learned Hernandez, who has no address listed in his paperwork, has a probation detainer in Lehigh County.
