Survey: Nonsworn Hospital Security Officer Pay on the Upswing
For the most part, hospital security and public safety departments are fairly diverse, with 35% of respondents indicating that the p
ercentage of minorities in their departments was greater than 30% (more than a third of the U.S. population identifies themselves as Hispanic, black, Asian or other). Public safety management, however, is mostly white. More than four in five respondents (83%) identified themselves as white.
