Satisfaction with access control technology, locks and door hardware coverage has remained constant over the past three years for K-12 respondents, with 64% rating it as good or excellent now and in 2014. Hospital respondents, however, are less satisfied with their coverage now than three years ago, with 74% indicating their coverage is “good” or “excellent,” which is four points less than in 2014. Interestingly, healthcare facilities with 800 beds or more are the most confident in their access control/lock/door hardware coverage with 90% rating it as good or excellent. A whopping 95% rate the quality of their systems as being good or excellent.
Higher ed coverage ratings dropped by five percentage points over the past three years. Now, less than half (44%) of college and university respondents rate their access control technology, locks and door hardware coverage as good or excellent. However, more than seven out of 10 K-12 and college campuses/districts with 30,000-50,000 students rate their coverage and quality as good or excellent.
Overall, satisfaction with quality has remained fairly constant for schools and universities but has dropped four percentage points for hospitals this year.
