Students Restrain Alleged Groper Until Police Arrive

DAVIS, Calif. — A law student from the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) was arrested after he allegedly groped women on a bike path Tuesday evening. Police suspect the student could be connected to similar past incidents on the campus.

Other students helped police to arrest the suspect, who walked into a student’s apartment without knocking, KCRA reports. The students held him down until police — who were in pursuit — arrived.

The suspect, who is an Iraq war veteran, will be charged with sexual battery, false imprisonment and assaulting a peace officer.
