Student Sues Classmates Over Fake Facebook Profile

ATLANTA — A middle school student is suing two classmates for libel after police told the girl they couldn’t do anything to stop her from being bullied on Facebook.

Alex Boston discovered that a fake Facebook page had been made in her name, The Washington Post reports. The page claimed that she smoked marijuana and spoke a fake language called “Retardish.” The creators of the page also used it to post obscene comments and a racist video.

Although Boston discovered the fake page a year ago, all attempts to have it removed were unsuccessful. It was taken down around the time the lawsuit was filed several weeks ago.
