Student Shot and Killed in Quarrel at Christian College

ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — A student at Mid-Atlantic Christian University is dead after he had an altercation with another student inside the university’s dormitory.

Jonathan Schipper, a sophomore at the school, was shot and killed by another male student on Oct. 3, reports WVEC.com. The suspect, whose name has not been released, turned himself into authorities.

As many as 50 people who were in the dorm at the time of the shooting were moved to the library as police investigated the scene. Additionally, school officials canceled classes on Oct. 4. Counselors and ministers were available for students, faculty, staff and parents.
