Student Faces Felony Charge in School Bus Beating

ALTON, Ill. — An 18-year-old student from Alton High School was arrested after she allegedly punched another female student repeatedly while on a school bus. Cairra Moore is free on a $30,000 bond.

The incident was captured on the bus’ surveillance camera, CBS St. Louis reports. The police said the footage shows Moore punching the other student for nearly three minutes.

The victim of the attack, who is a minor, suffered facial injuries and bruising.

Moore said she was exiting the bus when someone bumped her from behind. She was taken to the Madison County Jail and charged with a felony count of aggravated battery.
