Security Officer Stops Child Abduction on Wash. Campus

WENATCHEE, Wash. — Police are crediting a security guard at Wenatchee Valley College with thwarting an attempted kidnapping of an 11-year-old girl on campus.

During his patrol on Dec. 30, campus security officer Kevin Edwards noticed a suspicious-looking man approaching a young girl. When he heard the child yell out, “I don’t want to go with you,” Edwards ran to the scene to stop and detain the suspect, KIMA News reports.

Police arrested 43-year-old John Graff on suspicion of kidnapping.
