Riot Police Break Up Raucous Party at U of Cincinnati

Police dressed in full riot gear had to disperse a wild, rowdy party involving 500 University of Cincinnati students.

CINCINNATI – Police dressed in full riot gear had to disperse a wild, rowdy party involving University of Cincinnati (UC) students on Sunday.

As many as 20 officers responded to a call of nearly 500 students in the area of Stratford Avenue near the university.

The gathering, called #stratfordpalooza, is an end of the semester tradition at UC. It initially started as several separate parties that merged into one. As the crowd size increased, a fight broke out before university police arrived.

When campus police arrived at the scene, some students threw bottles at university vehicles, resulting in a mirror on one of the cars to break,
