QUINCY, Mass. — Quincy College’s board is considering a policy that would ban guns from campus, except for those carried by police officers.
The policy was drafted as part of a safety and security review, The Patriot Ledger reports. It was unanimously approved Dec. 27 by the governing board’s personnel and programs committee, and will be voted on by the fill board of governors next month.
The draft policy states that no person “shall have on their person or in their possession a firearm, loaded or unloaded, operable or inoperable, while on any property, including but not limited to, buildings and parking areas, occupied or used by Quincy College.”
