Questions remain after a man awaiting trial for murder was located following his escape from a West Virginia hospital two days ago.

Rocco Zuccaro escaped from William R. Sharpe Hospital by scaling a wall and running into a forest on Monday night, according to wdtv.com. The 30 year old Pennsylvania native had been under evaluation to decide if he was competent to stand trial for the murder of Jason Pratz in 2013.

The escape set off a 48-hour search that was extended as police feared for witnesses in the upcoming trial. It also sparked questions from concerned residents and lawmakers about the security standards of Sharp Hospital.

State Senator Mike Romano says lawmakers are asking the Department of Health and Human Resources to review management techniques at the hospital.  Romano also notes that there are currently 95 full-time openings at the hospital.
