Police Search for TSU Gunman

One person was shot Tuesday after a poetry slam at Texas Southern University.

A poetry slam event that was wrapping up at a Houston college on Tuesday turned violent when someone began shooting.

The incident occurred at about 10: 15 a.m. at Texas Southern University (TSU) on Tuesday, and one person was shot.

Authorities say Darios Tramain Crayton Scott opened fire and shot Jordan Schott two times in the stomach, reports KHOU. Schott, who is not a TSU student, was sent to the hospital and is expected to survive. Scott was enrolled last semester, but not this semester.

The shooting took place on the “Tiger Walk,” which is a road that runs through campus. It’s the second shooting at TSU in six weeks.
