Police: College Student Was ‘Kingpin’ of Drug Ring

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — A Bridgewater State University student who was arrested last Thursday was labeled by police as the kingpin of a drug trafficking operation. Three other students were also arrested in connection with the operation.

Patrick McGirr was held Friday on $25,000 bail after his arraignment at Brockton District Court, the Taunton Daily Gazette reports. Police discovered cocaine, Percocet pills, marijuana and $7,000 in cash at an off-campus house they had been staking out for the past month.

Tyler Trainor, Eric Eldred and Bradley Head were also taken into custody.
