A New Berlin Eisenhower High School student allegedly used Facebook to mislead more than 30 of his fellow male students into sending him naked photos of them. He then used the images to blackmail his classmates for sex acts and other inappropriate conduct.
According to the Associated Press, Anthony Stancl, 18, is accused of posing as a girl on the social networking site to acquire the inappropriate photos of his male peers. He is suspected of using the photos as leverage to get the boys to meet with him for sex. More than half complied in one fashion or another. It is believed the incidents occurred for nearly a year and a half, starting in the spring of 2007.
Stancl was arrested on Feb. 4 and faces five counts of child enticement, two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, two counts of third-degree sexual assault, possession of child pornography, repeated sexual assault of the same child, and making a bomb threat.
Investigators allegedly found about 300 nude images of juvenile males on Stancl’s computer. Prosecutors said the victims were as young as 15.
