Patient Attempts to Kidnap Hospital Employee

WICHITA, Kan. — A patient at Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis tried to kidnap a hospital employee while he was being released Monday.

Mark Twetto told the female employee that he had a gun in his pillow and he took her car keys, KAKE News reports. He used the hand he said contained a weapon to reach for a cell phone, alerting hospital security that he was unarmed. The security officers tackled him.

Twetto was charged with abduction, kidnapping, robbery and battery.
