A task force says schools in Wyoming need to improve their safety and security.
The panel recommended increasing the number of police officers patrolling school campuses as well as more training, reports the Laramie Boomerang. It also recommended the state’s education department create a board to monitor school safety and security.
Bills introduced earlier this year to increase the number of officers on campus as well as allowing people to carry concealed weapons on campus failed to pass.
