NEW YORK — A federal complaint has been made against the New York Police Department’s (NYPD) School Safety Division. The complaint, which was filed with the Equal Opportunity Commission, alleges that female school safety agents received special privileges in exchange for sex.
According to the complaint, female agents have engaged in sexual activities in department vehicles and offices during work hours with their supervisors, Mail Online reports. These agents received rides in chauffeured cars to and from their homes, overtime, promotions and cash.
Allegedly, two female agents were engaged in simultaneous relationships with senior supervisor Gary Armstead, the deputy director of the school-safety division, the New York Post reports. The “love triangle,” according to the compliant, had become disruptive in the work environment.
The complaint was filed by Charisse West, 30 and Shameca James, 29. The two women claim they were sexually harassed and subsequently terminated after they refused to engage in sexual activities with their supervisors.
