No Injuries Reported in Shooting on Central Georgia Technical Campus

The campus was locked down and an emergency notification was sent out.

Witnesses say an argument between two groups of people at Central Georgia Technical College escalated into gunfire on campus Sept. 19.

The campus was briefly locked down and local police responded to reports of an “active shooter,” according to university officials.

The incident began around 11 a.m. with two groups of men arguing in the cafeteria. Eventually the men stepped outside the building and gunshots were heard. A shell casing was found at the scene after campus and local police swept the scene.

Witnesses reported a vehicle left the scene with people that may have been connected to the shooting, reports 13wmaz.com.

No one was injured in the shooting and no arrests have been made.

It is unclear if the men were students at the school.
