GOSHEN, N.Y. — Legislators here have approved spending $500,000 to improve school security throughout districts in the area.
The plan is part of a three-year grant distributing program, which was initiated in January following the Newtown, Conn. shootings. The goal of the program is to disperse up to $1.5 million within three years, according to Times Herald Record.
The program will allow all districts to apply for grants up to $20,000 a year.
