N.J. District Readies for Access Control Upgrades
MILLSTONE, N.J. — The Millstone Township K-8 School District will soon begin construction on two if its schools to prevent unauthorized individuals from gaining access to those campuses.
With a preliminary budget of $25,000, Millstone Township Elementary School will install secure doors at the end of the main entrance corridor. The new door will be kept locked during the day and will feature an electronic intercom and a remote interlock, the Examiner reports.
Meanwhile, Millstone Township Primary School will install a new wall to the building of the interior side of the main office, which will contain two new pairs of secure doors. The project, which has a preliminary budget of $37,500, will also include the installation of an electronic intercom and a remote interlock at the office door.
