Mo. School Officials Develop School Security Plan

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. — School officials throughout St. Charles County have formed a task force to formulate a security plan to increase school safety.

As part of the plan, officials plan to install bullet resistant windows, classroom door locks and security cameras that would monitor both inside and outside of schools, CBS St. Louis reports.

Administrators determined that posting full-time police officers at every elementary school would prove too costly; however, the task force hopes to establish a direct link to police and fire departments.
