KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Rockhurst High School will begin conducting mandatory random drug test during the 2013-2014 school year.
During the tests, the school will collect 60 strands of hair from the student and test for several drugs, including marijuana and cocaine. If the test comes back positive, the student will have 90 days to get drug free, according to CBS St. Louis.
Although students and parents support the school’s decision, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) believes the drug testing is a waste of time and money.
