ANNAPOLIS, Md. – A new bill sponsored by Delegate Jon S. Cardin, D-Baltimore County would seek to provide more accurate data on the rate of sexual assaults on higher education campuses in Maryland.
If passed, the bill would require schools to administer anonymous sexual assault surveys, reports Southern Maryland Online.
Opponents, however, say it wouldn’t do much to address the root of the problem.
School climate surveys and exit interviews were also proposed on the national level by 39 members of Congress last month.
