Massive Brawl Involving Hundreds of People Takes Place Next to California High School

A brawl involving up to 500 students erupted outside of a high school in California Friday.

A fight involving 400 to 500 people broke out outside of Berkeley High School in California on April 10.

Five students were arrested as police and school safety officers tried to stop a brawl involving students from Berkeley High, Berkeley Technology Academy, San Leandro, Oakland and some adults, according to kron4.com. The fights lasted around an hour starting at about 3:40 p.m.

School officials were told of fighting a block from campus during the day on April 10 and police increased their patrol presence. After the school day officials noticed people hanging around the school that didn’t attend Berkeley High, and soon over 20 fights were underway.
