A man was found to have a loaded Sig Sauer P250 pistol, two hunting knives and 57 rounds of ammunition after being searched at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

A man was found to have a loaded gun and knives when searched at a Memphis hospital on Tuesday.

Police say 29-year-old Aaron Cauley, whose daughter was receiving treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, had a loaded Sig Sauer P250 pistol, two hunting knives and 57 rounds of ammunition underneath clothing in a backpack he brought into the hospital, according to myfoxal.com.

The discovery followed a domestic dispute between Cauley and his daughter’s mother, who are separated but traveled to Memphis for their daughter’s brain tumor to be treated. In the domestic dispute, police say Cauley pointed a loaded gun at his daughter’s mother’s face and said he would kill her. The woman told hospital security about the incident, and security searched Cauley after he’d entered the hospital.

St Jude’s released a statement assuring everyone that the health and safety of their patients is their top priority.
