Man Attacked in His Sleep at D.C. Hospital

The attack reportedly occurred without provocation although police are still investigating.

A woman was arrested after police say she stabbed a sleeping man in a D.C. hospital’s waiting room during a random attack Feb. 9.

Janet Latoya Daniels was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon after the stabbing at Providence Hospital, which left a man with a deep wound on the left side of his head, according to the Washington Post.

Daniels was reportedly at the hospital to be treated for a drug problem when she went into the bathroom and emerged with a knife around 2:15 a.m. Daniels then attacked the victim, missing with her first strike before hitting the man.
