Man Shoots, Kills Self in KC Hospital

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A nurse at Truman Medical Center found a 59-year-old man dead of what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The man was alone in a room when he died by suicide on Saturday, reports Fox 4 News.

Hospital officials would not give further details of the incident or specifics of the security measures deployed at the facility. Metal detectors do screen for weapons in the emergency room.
