MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — A man was found not guilty in the 2009 shooting death of a Wesleyan University student by reason of insanity.
Stephen Morgan will be committed to Connecticut’s maximum-security psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane, the Associated Press reports. Morgan was charged with murder in the death of Johanna Justin-Jinich after he shot her seven times.
A forensic psychologist testified during the trial that Morgan has paranoid schizophrenia.
