ST. LOUIS — Police arrested a man Tuesday, who allegedly walked into Mercy Hospital with a duffel bag containing a loaded pistol, a knife and drugs.

Jerold Baybo, 39, reportedly disguised himself by wearing a shirt that said “Police” in an effort to visit his hospitalized girlfriend after hours, KMOV.com reports. Authorities believe Baybo was trying to deliver the drugs to his girlfriend.

Police arrived at the scene after a witness spotted Baybo walking out of the hospital and contacted authorities. Baybo has been charged with felony unlawful use of a weapon.

The incident has raised concerns with some residents in the community. Some have questioned why security allowed Baybo to walk through the hospital without questioning him.
