Man Brandishes Gun in Kentucky State Student Center

FRANKFORT, Ky.

A man was arrested for pointing a gun at people in the student center at Kentucky State University, reported the Associated Press. No one was injured during the incident.

It is unclear if the suspect, Charles Sims, was a student at the university.

Police said Sims was arrested without incident in a computer lab at the school. He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm on school property, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct.

Though the school was not locked down, students and staff members were alerted of the incident through text message, E-mail and campus televisions.
