Live Action Zombie Game Triggers Campus Security Alert

RALEIGH, N.C. — A live-action role-playing game involving zombies caused a security alert on the campus of North Carolina State University Jan. 25.

The university issued a statement Jan. 27 about two reports of men with handguns, CBS News reports. As it turned out, the reports were describing a player in a game called “Human vs. Zombies.”

The player contacted police after hearing the descriptions of the gunman. The campus was not locked down, but police issued an alert during the investigation.
