TORRANCE, Calif. – Campus Safety magazine encourages those involved with hospital, school and university security and safety – law enforcement and security professionals, emergency managers, facilities managers, IT personnel and others – to take the CS Mass Notification survey.
In the January 2008 Post Virginia Tech Study, CS learned that 73 percent of campuses have purchased or plan to purchase mass notification solutions. The results of this study prompted the publication to create another survey in order to better understand the emergency alert systems deployed on many campuses nationwide, as well as the policies and other issues involved.
Responses to the survey will be featured in CS‘ Mass Notification Study, which will appear in the May/June issue of the publication.
“We hope everyone involved with campus emergency management, risk management, law enforcement, facilities management, IT and the like participate in this project,” says CS Executive Editor Robin Hattersley Gray. “The information gleaned from this study will further help universities, hospitals and schools determine the best practices associated with deploying emergency alert systems.”
CS requests that readers complete the survey by April 7. Respondents’ personal information, answers, E-mail addresses and identities, as well as that of their campuses will be kept strictly confidential and will only be used in tabulation with others.
