Kindergartener Brings 18 Bags of Heroin to School

PITTSBURGH — A kindergarten student brought bags of heroin to school and handed them out to friends, according to authorities. Parents were alerted to search their children’s belongings for the drugs; three parents reported their children had bags of heroin.

A teacher discovered that the 7-year-old boy was in possession of the drugs and alerted the school principal, MSNBC reports. The principal searched the boy’s locker and backpack, and found 18 bags of the drug.

The boy called the bags the “magic ticket” because they were stamped with an image of a rabbit in a hat. Police and child welfare have launched investigations into where the boy got the drugs.
