Justice Department Releases Guide for Preventing, Responding to School Violence

The Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs has released a guide published by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) for members of school communities that provides strategies for responding to and preventing school violence.

The publication, called “Guide for Preventing and Responding to School Violence, 2nd Edition,” addresses the roles of the school, the community, families, law enforcement, and the justice system and details how groups can work together effectively to take action and prevent school violence.
