DENVER — A judge barred the University of Colorado Denver Monday from releasing any records of shooting suspect James Holmes’ time spent as a neuroscience graduate student there.
Holmes, who is accused of killing 12 people in mass shooting at a theater this past Friday, entered the university program in June 2011, but dropped out a year later, the Huffington Post reports. Numerous media organizations have filed records requests for university records about Holmes since the shooting.
In his decision, District Court Judge William Blair Sylvester said releasing information in response to requests filed under the Colorado Open Records Act would “impede an ongoing investigation.”
