Jackson State Security Officer Murdered

JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson State University Security Officer Joseph Welch’s body was found early Saturday morning after he did not show up to work at 10 p.m. on Friday.

Welch, 27, had been shot five times at an off-campus location, reports WLBT. Robbery homicide detectives are investigating.
