GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Saint Mary’s Hospital was locked down on Friday after hospital staff held a drill without properly notifying hospital security personnel and police.
Reports came in on the morning of April 29 stating that an infant between 24 and 36 hours old had gone missing on the seventh floor of the hospital, KJCT 8 reports. Police responded within minutes, believing it was a real incident.
The misunderstanding was quickly cleared up. A spokesperson from the Grand Junction Police said the scenario was good for training purposes.
