NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Naperville Unit District 203’s school board has given the go-ahead on the installation of security cameras at two of its high school campuses. It may also consider the implementation of keyless access control.
A total of 10 cameras will be installed in the hallways and doorways at Naperville North and Central high schools. If necessary, the systems will be expanded in the future. Both installations will cost approximately $65,439 and should be completed by the winter.
Card access control at the district’s 14 elementary schools is also being considered by the board. It is expected to vote on the upgrade in September. If approved, the access systems will cost $300,299 and will also be installed in the district’s administrative center and transportation department.
