Houston Nurse Assaulted, Carjacked in Hospital Parking Lot

Susan Grant sustained a bruised face and chipped teeth in the incident.

A Texas Medical Center nurse was assaulted and carjacked on hospital property early in the morning of Dec. 7.

Susan Grant, 64, was approached around 4 a.m. in the healthcare facility’s employee parking lot by a gunman demanding her car keys, according to khou.com.

When Grant refused, the gunman pistol-whipped her, grabbed the keys and drove off. Now police are looking for a silver RAV-4 with plate number BTW 8075.

Grant’s injuries include a bruised face and chipped teeth. Nurses in the emergency room recognized Grant’s description of the attacker and gave the Houston Police Department any information they had.

Grant has worked at the hospital for 26 years. She says she’ll begin using the security guard escort that the hospital offers.
