High School Student Shoots Self in Police Car

HOUSTON – A North Shore Senior High School student who was handcuffed and sitting in a police car was still able to shoot himself in the head.

Police were responding to a call on Wednesday from the school regarding a report of a handgun, reports NBC News. The student was searched and handcuffed, but he still had a gun. He then shot himself.

The unidentified student was taken to a local hospital where officials say he is conscious.
